Mountain flight instructor FI(H) MOU unrestricted
With the mountain instructor training you can discover and share the alpine beauty of Switzerland.
After this course you are authorized to teach all required levels of "MOU training". This course is suitable for experienced instructors with extensive mountain flying experience.

| License | PPL(H) with CPL(H) theory or CPL(H)-EASA license with FI(H) and MOU entry |
| Medical | Class 1 / Aeromedical examination by a medical examiner of the FOCA |
| Flight experience | At least 1,500 hours of helicopter pilot experience at least 1,500 landings > 1,100 m.a.s.l./ of which at least 300 landings > 2,700 m.a.s.l. at least 200 h as FI |
| Successfully completed check flight | with the Head of Training |
Procedure
Procedure
The course is offered individually and can be completed intensively or in blocks. Approximately one week of training is required. During this training, the future MOU flight instructor can benefit from the instructor's experience and apply this as an "instructor" later on in the course. The instructor then simulates the student during the course.
Theoretical training
Theory
The theoretical part of the training lasts approx. 14 hours and is usually organized individually in one-to-one lessons. The following topics are covered in depth

Flight training
Flight training
The practical training includes the following
- at least 8-10 flying hours
- various MOU-specific exercises
- Application of theoretical topics
- extensive briefings/debriefings
- at least 60 approaches and landings >1,100 m.a.s.l.
at least 40 landings >2,000 m.a.s.l.
at least 20 landings > 2,700 m.a.s.l. - Final examination in the form of an assessment of competence by the FOCA

As a mountain flight instructor FI(H) MOU unrestricted, mountain flights and landings may be trained without any restrictions.
