The path to the commercial pilot license

Becoming a professional helicopter pilot - we will show you the possible ways to the finish with all the stages and conditions.

Below you will find a process that shows all the necessary and reasonable conditions to become a professional helicopter pilot in Switzerland.

EXAMPLE OF A TRAINING COURSE FOR COMMERCIAL PILOTS

1.

PPL(H) training on Robinson R22
•  Theoretical examination for all subjects PPL
•  VFR Communication
•  English Language Proficiency exam (min. level 4)
•  Medical Class 1
•  Practical training (min. 45 hours RTT)
•  Skill test

2. Type rating (TRS) on Robinson R44 - 5 hours
3. 50 hours charter on R22 or R44
4. 25 hours mountain rating MOU on R22 and R44 combined
5. 25 hours charter on R22 or R44
6. 15 hours Night training NIT
(possible from 100 hours total time according to PPL and 60 hours PIC)
7.

CPL(H) training on Robinson R66
•  Theoretical examination for all subjects level CPL or ATPL (VFR or IR)
•  Medical Class 1
•  Practical training (min. 30 hours RTT)

During the 75 hours of charter flight, paying passengers can be taken on board.
