FAA / ICAO Conversion

When converting an FAA or ICAO license into an EASA license, you are in the right place. We are happy to advise you.

Conversion of a faa / icao-lIcENse to a easa-lIcENse

US FAA-issued licenses and licenses issued in ICAO-compliant countries can be converted into an EASA license. The conversion always includes at least one theoretical examination on some or all subjects as well as an examination flight with an expert from the responsible Civil Aviation Authority. We have supported numerous pilots at all license levels to convert their foreign ICAO license and can look back on a great deal of experience.

Below you will find the most important conditions that must be fulfilled for a conversion:

PPL

- Swiss Medical Class 2

- Theory exam subjects 010 and 040

- Entry radiotelephony

- Language Proficiency Level 4

- min. 100 hours flight experience

- Skill Test with a FOCA expert

The number of flying hours required for the conversion varies according to the flight experience. We are happy to make you a personal and non-binding offer. All theory can be learned for each license level via our e-learning platform. In general, we expect about 10 hours theory and 10 hours flight time to become familiar with Swiss airspace and procedures.
