Mountainflyers rents helicopters to licensed helicopter pilots. The following types of helicopters are available for charter:

Requirements for chartering / renting the helicopter of Mountainflyers are a valid pilot license, a current medical, a rating for the respective type of helicopter and a check flight with a mountain flyer instructor.

Leonardo AW109SP GrandNew
The AW109SP GrandNew is a twin-engine helicopter made by the Italian manufacturer Leonardo (formerly Agusta Westland). The helicopter offers maximum safety through the latest technology and transports up to six passengers in the spacious and quiet cabin. Wide-opening sliding doors and electrically extendable steps provide easy access. The extended luggage compartment offers plenty of room for personal luggage. The glass cockpit provides the pilots with an excellent view and an ergonomic workplace.

The "squirrel" family was created in the 70s by the French manufacturer Aerospatiale (later Eurocopter, now Airbus Helicopters) and still enjoys great popularity today. The helicopters are used worldwide for a variety of missions and show their strengths in difficult tasks in the high mountains. To date, the "squirrel" is the only helicopter ever to land on the summit of Mount Everest. The variant H125 (formerly AS350 B3e) is the newest and strongest of the model series. At Mountainflyers, the helicopter, which offers space for five passengers next to the pilot, is used for scenic and taxi flights, film flights and pilot training.

The two-seater helicopter with a Lycoming piston engine is ideal for basic aviation training and is the best-selling training helicopter in the world. The rotor system of the R22 has a low mass and the helicopter is controlled directly by rods without hydraulic support. Its control system is very sensitive and requires a steady hand to avoid overcorrections. Pilots who master the R22 have no difficulty flying larger helicopters. At Mountainflyers, this helicopter is used for trial flights ("fly yourself") and for pilot training.
