It is our fundamental aim to provide the highest level of quality and safety performance to our customers and employees. We are committed to developing, implementing, maintaining and constantly improving strategies and processes to ensure that during all of our aviation activities we are able to keep the safety risks as low as reasonably possible and meeting, or even surpassing, national and international standards.
The management and all employees are accountable for the delivery of the highest level of safety performance. The responsibilities of the CEO and all employees are clearly defined and communicated in order to optimize the organisation’s safety performance and the performance of our safety and compliance monitoring system. Regular meetings with the management and all employees and separate meetings among all AOC-pilots are regularly held to discuss identified safety risks and find solutions to keep safety risks as low as reasonably possible.
We are committed to providing our safety manager with all appropriate resources that will result in an organizational culture that fosters safe practices, encourages effective safety reporting and communication. We ensure that our safety manager has current knowledge about the human, technical, organizational and environmental factors that determine the safety of the system as a whole.
We have established hazard identification and risk management processes, including a hazard reporting system which operates anonymously and punishment free in order to not only record incidents but also to recognize possible risks and dangers and consequently eliminate or mitigate the safety risks of the consequences of hazards resulting from our operations or activities to a point which is as low as reasonably practical. Measures to disclose the identity of the culprit will only be taken if the actions indicate, beyond any reasonable doubt, an illegal act, gross negligence, or a deliberate or wilful disregard of regulations or procedures. Fallible pilots will be excluded from all aviation activities for an appropriate period of time.
In addition to structural clarity we regard it as our duty to implement a learning culture among the management and all employees which leads to an organizational willingness and competence to draw the right conclusions from our safety information system and the will to implement minor or major reforms.
